If there is one thing amazing about the Philippines, it is never short of natural wonders. I have been to several waterfalls in the country and I can say that the Tinuy-An Falls of Bislig City is one of the bests. Many locals refer to this as the Niagara Falls of the Philippines, probably due to the similarity in shape and structure.

The road is rough going there - some parts are not paved. When you first see the waterfall, it is not very impressive. The water is low and it is just ordinary looking.

It looks very ordinary at first

A few hikes though from the first spot, you will see the more impressive parts of the waterfall. On the second spot alone, the curtain-like falling water leaves you in awe.

I did not see people swimming on the second spot, probably because the water there is quite deep and there is huge current from the falling water. A raft is available though to tour you around. Guides are also available so you won't mess with the navigation.

Originally, I was not planning to get wet since I am running out of clothes. However, when we reached the third spot (hike is more difficult though getting there), I've decided to wet it all out since the water is low and the pressure from the waterfall is quite strong, giving you some relaxing water massage.

The authorities might have altered this place to some extent (some parts are easily walkable), but the pristine beauty of the place definitely remains.

It was definitely a fun way to conclude the day.
